About Rusty Cage Records

Martyr returns

Rusty Cage Records (RCR) started operations during the summer of 2006 and has evolved into a record label known for his special re-releases and support of talented young metal bands. The RCR logo has come to mean two things to metal fans and bands around the world: a high standard of quality in musicianship and presentation.

Founders Manfred van Zadelhoff and Remco Bouwens were active musicians themselves from the beginning of the eighties until the beginning of this millennium.

The experience they’ve gained during this long period will help young bands to become accepted players in the music scene. Strong relationships with magazines, radio-stations, promotors and booking agencies will make the path to success less frustrating for bands working with RCR.

Within a period of less than two years RCR signed 13 acts playing a wide variety of metal styles. Besides being a record company, RCR started exploring other business opportunities by organizing a full blown music market at the 2008 edition of “Arnhem Metal Meeting”. This largest Dutch indoor metal festival was sold out for the second time and both festival and market were a huge success.
