Rusty Cage Records is proud to announce the latest member of our family: FRACTAL GATES. Put together atmospheric Doom Metal, Scandinavian Death Metal and groovy, catchy Rock. Magnacult news

Magnacult to support Mastodon
Dutch metallers MAGNACULT will support MASTODON on their only headlining date in Europe at the Le Trabendo in Paris (France) on July 6th.

The band is currently writing material for its as-yet-untitled sophomore album. They will enter the studio in April to start the pre-production. "We are very excited to enter the studio again and record our new material. We just played at two festivals in Holland this past weekend and already unleashed two new songs and the reactions from the crowd were great," says drummer Bionic.

Another nice fact is that Andreas Kisser (Sepultura) played in a Jesusmartyr T-shirt in front of 42.000 fans during their Iron Maiden support. Check out some pictures at the Jesusmartyr section.

Chiraw looking for new keyboardplayer
Chiraw has parted with Keyboardplayer Thomas Busschers. He couldn’t combine his personal life with the increasing number of gigs.

Prey For Nothing has parted with guitar player Eyal Glotman
"The last 2 years with Eyal were a great expirience" the band state. "Eyal is a very talented musician and song-writer, with great passion for music in general and metal music in particular. This decision was not an easy one, but due to his personal comitments, we felt that we couldn’t continue progressing together as a band with Eyal. This departure is without anger or grudge, Eyal is still a very good friend of ours, and his contribution to the band will not be forgotten."

On the same note, Prey for nothing wants to welcome theirr new guitar player, Tal Bechar (Vipress, ex-Betrayer) who stepped in to become a full member of the Prey For Nothing family. Tal is one of the most professional and gifted guitar players they ever met. Some of you might know him from his prevoius work with his own bands, or as a session player for the Oriental metal band Orphaned Land, but Tal is not a temporary or a replacement for anything – but is here to stay. Be prepared for some harsh metal performance during their upcoming gigs in Israel, and in the rest of Europe very soon."

Martyr supports Lizzy Borden.

After some very successful headlining shows, and performances at festivals such as "Keep it true" in Germany, Dutch metal cult band Martyr will be supporting Lizzy Borden at their upcoming European tour.

Over 20 years after their last album "Darkness At Time’s Edge" the new Martyr album will be released through Rusty Cage Records in the beginning of 2009.

Besides a re-mastered version of Martyr’s debut album "For the universe", fans of eighties heavy metal will get the new 5-track album "Fear". Both albums will be wrapped in a double digipack called "Fear the universe".

New albums Chiraw and Forcefeed available!

Discover Dutch Underground Again!

Both albums are due to be released in the Benelux (Bertus distribution), Scandinavia (Sound Pollution) and USA (Cdbaby) November 15th 2008.

Continuing to live up to the slogan “Discover Underground Again”, we are proud to announce the latest member of our family: CHIRAW.

The band shows a combination of heavy, energized, brutal riffs, industrial atmospheric samples, crystal clean melodies, killer shouts and ground pounding beats to energize the scene.

Prey for nothing news

Duet with Angela Gossow (Arch Enemy)
Vocalist Yotam ‘Defiler’ Avni and Angela Gossow recorded a duet on the Israeli project “Amaseffer”. The song is called “Midian” and has been released on the album “Slaves for life”. Besides recording vocals for this song, Yotam also wrote some of the lyrics for this album.Read more about this project at the official Amaseffer website.

Izegrim news

Line-up change
Due to a loss of interest in metal and a subsequent lack of motivation, drummer Joep van Leeuwen has decided to leave Izegrim.He has been replaced by Ivo Maarhuis. Ivo will make his first appearance with Izegrim at Dokkem Open Air.

Obsidian news

Studio booked!
Obsidian has booked itself in the Excess Studio’s to record the drum tracks for the follow up to 2007′s’Emerging’. The recordings will take place in the middle of August. The new album will feature nine brand new tracks. Titles and more info concerning the album will follow later. There will be a studio log kept through the band’s MySpace page
, so you’ll be able to keep up by simply subscribing to it.

PREY FOR NOTHING

Be aware of this new melodic death metal sensation from Israel. Just three years after the birth of this band they have managed to create an album that will be considered a “classic death album” 20 years from now.

Just check out their recording sessions at the Hansen Studio (Mercenary, Volbeat, Leatherwolf, Hatesphere, Non-Divine) at the Prey For Nothing section to convince yourself of the power and the skills of this band.

Expect their debut album “Violence Divine” to be released September 2008!

K-NINE

This Norwegian hybrid of NU-metal and hardcore will surely break your neck within minutes!

Pantera and Linkin Park met each other on Scandinavian soil. The band will play at this year´s NORWAY ROCKFESTIVAL together with Motorhead, Pain, Soilwork, Audrey Horne, Alice Cooper, Helloween and other fine acts.

Jeff Walker (Carcass) to appear on new Cypher album.

Carcass vocalist/bassist Jeff Walker will be making a guest appearance on the new upcoming Cypher album.
Walker will feature in a vocal battle with Cypher’s frontman T on the track: ‘The Plague Race’.

Currently the band is in pre-production mode and completing the new material for their sophomore album which will likely surface fall/winter 2008.

RCR Market also at Eggfest 2008
		Eggfest 2008 will be held in Eibergen at June 7th 2008. The village lies between Enschede and Doetinchem, so for both Dutch and German metal fans an ideal place to meet each other. Up to 1200 visitors are welcome to see various metal acts and check the diverse metal market. This all takes place inside an open air theater with a big dome where everybody is able to rest, drink and eat. Read more news at the Eggfest myspace website.
